So that is that for another year. The SAP SMB Innovation Summit 2019 in Nice is over. And what a three days it has been. It’s been great catching up with our colleagues around the world within the Seidor Group and friends from the wider SAP Business One community.
Things always seem to wind down a bit on the third day and it was a great opportunity to speak with so many SSP partners in the exhibition hall to discuss their solutions and add-ons for SAP Business One. It’s this eco-system of solutions that makes SAP Business One such a flexible and accessible application for any type of growing business. If SAP Business One’s core functionality do not meet your requirements, then the SSP partners at Nice showed there’s a wealth of applications to tick any box.
SAP Business One Version 9.3
Earlier in the Summit, delegates were given an insight into some of the tools that are coming in SAP Business One Version 10. The third day kicked off with Hilko Mueller, Martin Slavik and Peter Dominik taking a deep dive into Version 9.3 and focusing on some of their favourite features in the latest release.
The guys took a look at some of the new production features that further streamline processes and that provide greater planning for SMEs. The new project management tools were next on the agenda showing how the Billing Wizard in B1 can help PMs to easily link together project activities with timesheets for faster customer billing.
Version 9.3 was developed to include a host of features to help users stay GDPR compliant with a range of new data management tools. It was great to see these in action and how they can help organisations take control of their data and stay compliant. These tools now stretch to User Defined Fields – sections of SAP Business One that are created specifically by individual users to match their requirements. These UDFs can now be marked as sensitive and authorisations placed against these meaning only certain users can view the data stored here.
After lunch had finished and we’d managed to get a team photo, plus Finn Backer, it was time to say my goodbyes and head back to the UK. It’s been great meeting so many new people and hearing their stories with SAP Business One. Finally, a big thank you to everybody who has taken the time to read my blog over the next few days.
I’ll see you again at SAP’s SMB Innovation Summit in 2020.
