It’s official! When it comes to ERP, SAP comes out on top, according to a new report. SAP ERP ranking tops the charts, according to Gartner’s Market Share Analysis: ERP Software, Worldwide, 2018 report.
It placed SAP as the leading supplier of enterprise solutions, based on revenue, for the second consecutive year.
The SAP ERP ranking was another important accolade for the software vendor with SAP’s Jan Gilg saying the company was ‘thrilled’ that it had again reached top spot when compared with other leading suppliers in the SME market.
The report found that SAP had higher ERP revenues than competitors such as Oracle, Sage and Infor as the industry become a £35bn market last year.
Research found that the ERP market grew by around 10% in 2018 as more organisations invested in new digital technologies. There was also a greater shift towards the software-as-a-service cloud model and the upgrading of existing solutions all helped to grow revenues.
“As organisations continue to look for intelligent solutions to optimise and innovate business processes, we are committed to offering our customers a leading ERP system, which enables companies to address current challenges and future opportunities with flexibility, speed and insight,” Gilg added.
