It has been a long time coming but we’ve finally got the chance to see some of the new tools in the latest version of Business One. Take a look at the SAP Business One Version 10 videos below and see some of the enhancements soon available to users.

SAP Business One Financial Management

There are three main enhancements in the financial module planned for Version 10. These include the ability to drill down to G/L account in financial reports to provide users with direct access to customer account details and account balances easier and faster. There’s new features for posting periods, including a new checkbox added to the posting period window to define default due date to when creating new timetables. Finally, the remarks field in the Journal Entry has also been increased to more characters – something I know has been a frustration for users in the past.

SAP Business One Sales and Purchasing

Another handy new tool for users in Version 10 is the ability to hide empty address lines in different types of documents to help easier readability. The enhancements to the Back Order Report now displays A/R Reserve Invoices alongside a status – which is also included in the filter table. This provides greater clarity and transparency for users when checking Back Order reports.

SAP Business One Inventory Management

SAP have made it more convenient for users to manage serial and batch numbers in the latest version. In V10, there’s the option to update A/R Reserve Invoices and Inventory Transfer Requests with relevant information. There’s also new fields on the Serial Number/Batch Management Update form to include warehouse codes and names. Users also have greater flexibility changing Unit of Measure Groups on an Item Master record.

SAP Business One Production Management

The enhancements in the production module include updated item descriptions applied to Bill of Materials and the ability to drill down from BoMs to Item Master Data. This not only helps users to make more accurate descriptions within SAP Business One, but also increases the simplicity when navigating between screens for BoMs and Item Master Data.

SAP Business One Project Management

The new project managements in SAP Business One continue in V10. This time it’s the new Interactive Gantt Chart – which is a really welcome addition. The new feature allows users to easily drag and drop various project phases along timelines and quickly shorten or extend activities. The Gantt Chart brings a different dimension for project management when planning and logging key milestones.
